Home Made toy on Mid Autumn Festival
Mommy bought *water caltrop from the market 2 days ago for the special food on Mid Autumn Festival. Mommy made a toy for the little one. She said "So fun!" Thank you baby for really appreatiate it.

I've almost forgotten how to make the toy. But successfully made one with 2 water caltrops and the plastic stick of MacDonald's balloon. Mommy captured the video and photos when Tong played the toy. Hey, hopefully Tong can make one for her kid when I become grandma :)

*The water caltrop or water chestnut, "菱角" is floating annual aquatic plant, growing in slow-moving water up to 5 meters deep, native to warm temperate parts of Eurasia and Africa. They bear ornately shaped fruits that resemble the head of a bull, each containing a single very large starchy seed. It has been cultivated in China for at least 3,000 years for these seeds, which are boiled and sold as an occasional streetside snack in the south of that country.
